3 OTS-ers Lizzie B., David D.M. and Martin S. went to the British Gas Masters and Senior Age Group Long Course Championships 2013 in Plymouth.

Lizzie was a double gold medalist, winning both the 50m butterfly (30.20) and 100m butterfly (1:07.75). She was amazing, only missing the 35/39 British Record by 7/100ths of a second in the 50m fly. In fact her 50m butterfly was one of the best races of the championships: Lizzie was put under immense pressure by the formidable Gina H. of Otter Swimming Club and won only by the narrowest of margins... she said afterwards that she thought Gina was ahead at 25m and so she stuck her head down and didn't breathe in desperation to get the win - she did it! Out to Swim can be very proud of her achievements.

David won gold in the men's 35/39 1500m freestyle (20:37.75) and silver in the men's 35/39 800m freestyle (10:32.55): he was a little disappointed with his times but they were good swims as he comes back from injury.  Martin was pleased with his 400m and 800m swims.  Well done all
